A Granny For Every Occasion

And then there was the old grannies in the street. You don't see 'em now. We had a granny for every occasion. If anybody was ill, send for Granny so and so, send for Granny Wilfred. Send for Granny Drewer. Send for Granny Butcher.

And then there was Mrs Elton, she used to come and lay them all out - anybody died, lay 'em all out.

Then there was one if anyone was born, she used to come and see to it all. Well, one for every occasion. But now, nah they don't know yer livin' let alone dyin'.

Well, hang on a minute cos I'm getting out of breath, I'll be back in half a minute.
