Fatty's Wireless Sets
That was about the same time that Fatty was making wireless sets you know, with the old Cat's Whisker.
He had a mate round the corner, Tom Razey, he wasn't a bad old kid, old Tom - he's dead now. Old Tom Razey, he used to come round here and him and Fatty used to be making wireless sets.
Ah he'd get them to work. Old headphones, and cat's whisker. And they were having a bit of trouble one night, couldn't get nothing through. Dad walks up the garden, comes back in about ten minutes time.
“You silly young fool, you'll never get anything on there”
“Why, what's up then Dad, now what's gone wrong?”
“Well, I've been and had a look round, everybody's wireless is painted white? - you haven’t painted yours at all! Silly young devil!”
