Siblings & Pets

Last tape, I told you a bit about my brothers and sisters, but I never really introduced them did I?

We won't start off with Beat, because in front of Beat there was two boys and one girl. Harry, Georgie and Nellie. They died long before I was born, so I can't comment on those, I know nothing at all about them.

Clockwise from left - Jim, Me (Ern), Fred, Dad, Beat, Queen, Nance, Ede, Mum, Sid (Fatty).

Right, there was Beat. She was the eldest, as I knew it - in our family. And she was always known as (??).

Then there was Fred, otherwise known as Pat - cos he was always gonna pat somebody behind the ear.

Coming next was Jim, always known as Butch, for obvious reasons.

Carrying on was Sid - Fatty. Well, that speaks for itself - Fatty.

Then there was Sal, Ede I should say - she was always know as Sally.

Then comes meself. Well, I was called so many things (???).

Next in line, let me see, was Nance, known as (Aunty Nanners?), Nanny Goat - Fatty gave her that name. That was Nanny or Nanny Goat.

Then comes Hilda. Now Hilda was Queen - we always called her Queen, because when she was born we had to (???) "What another Queen" anyhow the name stuck.

I think Dad sort of run out of ideas, energy and ideas then because there was no more nicknames, there was just one more - Pearl. Well, that's the family.

Quite a big family as I just told you, but Dad weren't content with that - he didn't mind us having pets. We had pets for as long as I can remember. There was mice, guinea-pigs, rabbits, pigeons, canaries, goats, dogs, hens, ducks, and somebody even told me that years ago Fred had a pet white rat. Well I don't suppose Fred wanted it as a pet, I expect he (???).

Anyway that sort of weighs the family up, I'll get on with a little bit more if I can think of a few things.
